Player Races

The planes are home to a vast number of different races, from the noble and mighty Aasimar to the wicked Tanar’ri. The following races are additions specific to the Planescape setting using the Savage Worlds rules.

Aasimar

Restrictions – No Evil Aligned Characters

Edges

  • Celestial Charm: +2 Charisma
  • Celestial Resistance: +4 Bonus to resist heat/cold
  • Low Light Vision

Hindrances

  • Loyal Nature: As per the Loyal hindrance
  • Fragile: -1 Toughness

Tiefling

Edges

  • Infernal Resistance: +4 Bonus to resist Poison/Cold
  • Low Light Vision (+1)
  • Tiefling Mutation: A Tiefling character can have claws (1d6 Damage), a prehensile tail (1 Agility), tough patches of scale (1 Toughness to certain areas), goat legs (+2 Pace) or other mutations…it all depends on where you came from.

Hindrances

  • Outsider: Tieflings are despised by their fiendish ancestors and mistrusted by everyone else. -2 Charisma.

Githzerai

Restriction: Cannot be Lawful

Edges

  • Arcane Resistance: Given the Githzerai’s history, they have an innate resistance to magic that waives the D8 Spirit requirement.
  • Arcane Talent: +5 Arcane power points at character creation
  • Low Light Vision (+1)

Hindrances

  • Racial Enemy: Githyanki
  • Racial Enemy: Mind Flayers
